Huawei Honor 8 has a 5.2-inch 1080p display and runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow behind Huawei’s proprietary software, EMUI 4.1. The device is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 950 chipset, an octa-core processor. It has four Cortex-A72 cores clocked at up to 2.3 GHz, and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8 GHz. Internal storage starts at 32GB with 4GB RAM, and there are two other variants with 3GB/4GB RAM plus 64GB internal storage. It supports microSD card up to 128GB.
Honor 8 has two cameras at the back, both 12MP each and equipped with LED flash. The front shooter comes with an 8MP sensor. The device comes with a 3000mAh capacity battery, and Huawei puts a USB Type-C port at the bottom. Honor 8 has a thickness of only 7.45mm and weighs 153 grams.
As with most Huawei devices, it supports dual SIM cards. However, one of these is a hybrid SIM slot and takes either a SIM card or a micro-SD card.
Pricing starts at $299 for the 3GB RAM / 32GB storage variant, $343 for the 4GB RAM / 64 GB storage unit, and unit with 4GB of RAM / 64GB of storage costs $374 USD.
