What’s in the Box?
The listeners receive four pairs of silicone earplugs of different sizes, three individual backup attachments (S, M, and L), a micro-USB charging cable, a charging case, and real wireless earphones.
The Jam Live True Bluetooth Wireless Product Review
While many true wireless headphones are more or less the same design, the same cannot be said of the Jam Live True headphones. For example, the earbuds and charging case has a nice cloth-like texture that gives them a more familiar and welcoming look.
The earbuds themselves have a basic symmetrical design with a button on each earbud and magnetic sticks on the bottom for charging. We love the basic look of the headphones – it’s minimalist and chic.
Placing the headphones in the charging case is quite easy, although not as automatic as the others. You’ll need to guide the earbuds around the case a bit, but once they’re more or less in place they should click into place.
Speaking of the charging case, it looks great too. The exterior has the same fabric feel, and the left end is easy to squeeze to open the seat for the headphones. At the left end of the wireless earbud, you will also find a micro USB charging port and a USB port hidden behind a rubber door. The inclusion of the USB-A port is very nice as you can use the case to charge your phone or other devices.
In addition to the headphones and the charging case, the box contains a micro USB cable and a total of 14 pairs of earplugs, including those that are installed on the headphones. We love that there is such a wide range of earplugs – so you can always find a pair that fits your ears right.
As always with the best in-ear headphones, it’s a good idea to experiment with the different earbuds to find the right size and fit. The pre-installed earplugs, for example, didn’t quite fit in my ears, but a slightly smaller pair did. This will ensure that the headphones are relatively comfortable and will stay properly in your ears.
Ultimately, the most important thing is the sound quality – and the Jam Live True headphones have an uphill battle ahead of them.
The bass is actually okay to start with. It’s thick and deep, and there’s a decent extension, though the extension could always be better. The bass drums penetrate the music relatively well and the bass guitars sound quite soft.
That low-end boost extends into the lower mids, where there’s a lot of warmth – something that’s always nice. However, the high mids are where the sound quality suffers. It seems that the high mids have been severely cut off compared to the low mids, where the vocals can sometimes take a back seat.
The high-end was also quite inconspicuous. There’s a high-end answer, but there could be a lot more.
Another problem we had was that the headphones couldn’t take too much before they started to warp. Even moderate volumes seem to make crackling noises, which is disappointing to hear.
Due to the fact that true wireless headphones are so small, they often have battery life issues. We found that true low-end wireless headphones typically last around 3 hours on one charge, while high-end headphones can last up to around 5 hours. What about these? The Jam Live True headphones are in the 3-hour inventory, although the charging case gives the headphones up to 10 extra charges, which isn’t bad.
The Jam Live True headphones connect using an unspecified version of Bluetooth, which means you should get a wireless range of up to 10 meters or 33 feet. We found that the headphones generally maintained a good connection without bouncing or hopping too much.

Pros and Cons of Jam Live True Wireless Bluetooth Headphones
- Points for style. Jam Live True Wireless headphones look like a premium product.
- The simple and user-friendly interface consists of a button on each earbud.
- Mediocre to poor battery life for the price.
- An older Bluetooth chipset means more interruptions and stutters.
- The placement of the microphone in truly wireless headphones leaves a lot to be desired.
- The sound is good, but not great. For the price, we expect better.
Jam live true wireless earbuds have a lot going for them. They’re relatively cheap, well designed, and come with a ton of accessories. However, there are a few drawbacks to the headphones that make it a bit difficult to recommend them, namely that the sound quality is really not that great. However, the fact is that there aren’t many options in this price range.
In summary, the Jam live true Bluetooth earbud is an ideal option if you’re looking for true wireless headphones with a beautiful design. However, if you want decent sound quality, we recommend saving a little for other options.
